Cataloger - Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library

Cataloger - The Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library has an opening for a part time Cataloger. The position requires an independent, detail oriented, self starter who can maintain standards and priorities, and possesses excellent organizational skills. The cataloger is responsible for creating and maintaining the bibliographic records in a shared catalog, processes all materials and formats, and supervises pages and volunteers who assist in technical services. Cross trained in other departments. Qualifications: BA degree and a minimum of 2 years library experience preferred. Candidates enrolled in either an LTA program or MLS degree program are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required, including proficiency in desktop applications. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in a library automated environment, knowledge of classification systems and cataloging rules a plus. Average of 28 hours per week including weekend rotation at public desks. Hourly wage of $14.25 with partial benefits.
