Circulation Supervisor - Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library

Circulation Supervisor - The Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library has an opening for an upbeat, dynamic and motivated supervisor of the Circulation Department. The individual needs to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills that establish a welcoming, patron focused approach to library service. This position requires excellent supervisory skills for training, scheduling and managing all activities of circulation staff and volunteers. Demonstrated customer service skills required. Is responsible for administering procedures of operation and assists the director and department heads in establishing operational policies. Works closely with the cataloger in organizing technical services workflow. Qualifications: BA degree and a minimum of 2 years library experience preferred. Candidates enrolled in either an LTA program or MLS degree program are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required, including proficiency in desktop applications. Ability to work effectively with department heads in carrying out the mission of the library. Experience in a library automated environment and knowledge of bibliographic records a plus. 25-29 hours per week with weekend assignments occasionally. Hourly wage of $15.75 with partial benefits.
