The Meriden Public Library is seeking a Per Diem Librarian to support operations of its new state-of-the-art Digital Media Lab. This position assists patrons and staff with equipment and software troubleshooting, and produces promotional and educational materials for the library. The Per Diem Librarian may also present library programs and collaborate with community partners. Excellent customer service and technology skills required. Proficiency in video/audio production, editing software desired. Will work under the direction of the Youth and Community Services Manager and the guidance of the full-time Digital Media Lab Librarian.
Hours will vary based on need and primarily include evening hours and Saturdays throughout the year, approximately 3.5 – 15 Hours per week. A Masters of Library Science Degree from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university supplemented by graduate level courses which will lead to the Master of Library Science Degree within two years of employment.
