The primary responsibilities of this position are to work in the Project Lab (Makerspace); providing public access to the equipment and space, and programming to the public. This position will require the ability to troubleshoot issues and repair equipment. The candidate needs to be organized and detail oriented with a passion for working with all ages. The Project Lab (Makerspace) is not currently open to the public for services hours and this position will work under the direction of the Library Director to create and execute a plan for the future of the space.
The Senior Library Assistant will also provide services to the public at all service desks throughout the library under the direction of the Reference & Technology Librarian; assists technical services, and requires evening and weekend hours as part of the regular work schedule. The minimum qualifications for this position are a bachelor’s degree along with experience using several of the following: 3D printers, laser engravers, sewing machines, heat press tools, screen printing, audio/video equipment, etc.
