Supervisor of Children’s/Young Adult Services FT - South Windsor Public Library

 The Supervisor of Children’s and Young Adult Services performs responsible professional and technical work as a key member of the Library’s management team. In consultation with department staff (3 FT; 1+ PT), the Children’s/YA Supervisor interprets user needs, manages collection development, plans programming, marketing, and appropriate utilization of library resources. The Children’s/YA Supervisor oversees the department’s involvement in the community and, as a member of the Library’s senior professional staff, makes recommendations for policies, procedures, services, and sources of budgetary support.
     Full-time work schedule (35 hours/week) includes regular evening and weekend rotations. This position requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science and a minimum of three years progressively responsible experience; some personnel and budgeting experience preferred.
     SALARY: Starting salary $65,956; municipal benefits package provided.
