Adult Reference Librarians 1 FT (35 hours/week) and 1 PT (approximately 19 hours/week) - South Windsor Public Library

What will you contribute as a Reference Librarian in the new post-pandemic era of public library service? Our Adult Services Department provides collection development, reference, reader’s advisory, and referral services, as well as access to technology and electronic resources, outreach to community groups, and programs that explore literature, music, art, current topics, and new ideas. The new members of our team will be a part of our professional staff and will help us achieve our mission: “to create welcoming experiences for people of all ages in our diverse region that will foster opportunities for community connections, promote individual growth, and provide access to resources that spark creativity.”
      Both positions require a graduate degree in Library Science or a closely related field, library experience, and a willingness to work with other professionals whose special talents combine to maintain a patron-centered resource for the community. Both positions include evening and weekend schedules. Classification will be based on the qualifications of the persons selected.
     SALARY: Starting salaries will be between $56,382 ($30.98/hour) and $65,956 ($36.24/hour) depending on qualifications and experience; municipal benefits package provided.
