Public Library, a busy and active library, serving a diverse population
of over 38,000 people, is looking for a multitalented Children’s
Librarian. Our Librarians engage with people of all ages and are
passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience. They are
creative, enjoy being challenged and have a knack of finding solutions

If you’re good at:
Helping people – reading, research, technology, and everything in between
Thinking quickly, adapting to change, being flexible - even when it is super challenging!
Understanding the needs of all readers, with special emphasis on the early reader
Providing silly puppet voices, dancing to the hokey pokey, singing
along with Raffi, and getting messy with any number of crafty projects
Recognizing pop culture trends that support children’s interests and library collections
And are:
Remarkably tech savvy
Motivated to learn, grow, and build new skills
Able to develop relationships with schools and organizations that support children

Then we would love for you to join our team!
We require a Master’s Degree in Library Science from a school
accredited by American Library Association (ALA). This is a full-time,
35 hours/week position. Evening and weekend shifts are part of the
schedule. Starting hourly rate is $29.53. Applications can be found on
