Head of Children’s Services – Woodbridge Town Library. Due
to a retirement, the Woodbridge Town Library is seeking a creative and
energetic librarian to lead our Children’s Services Department. Our
ideal candidate will be passionate about providing outstanding services
to children and families and will possess a strong commitment to warm
and welcoming public service. This position is responsible for
administering all services provided by the Children’s Services
Department. Key responsibilities include: supervising and mentoring
departmental staff; overseeing, planning and implementing programming;
managing collection development and maintenance of children’s materials;
and delivering reference and reader’s advisory services to children and
families.
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Library Science
from an ALA-accredited program and professional experience in a public
library setting are required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies is required. This is a
full-time (35 hours per week) position with benefits. Some evenings and
Saturdays required. Salary range from $56,000 to $60,000, depending on
