Building Operations Manager - Wilton
Library Association, Inc., a non-profit organization, seeks an
experienced hands-on Building Operations Manager. Responsible for daily
management and maintenance of building and grounds including
electrical, mechanical, and solar systems, HVAC, fire detection,
security, safety, and emergency response; ability and skills to assist
with construction projects; plans, supervises, trains, assigns, and
reviews the work of custodial personnel; demonstrated ability to develop
and execute relevant policies/procedures and assist with maintenance
duties as needed. The building operations manager is also responsible
for coordinating volunteer program and assisting with preparations for
various library programs and events. Candidate must be familiar with
regulatory compliance associated with building operations.
Position requires versatile hands-on management and the ability to
perform physically demanding tasks as part of performing maintenance and
inspection duties. Must be able to work outside during inclement
weather, able to push cart weighing 300 lbs., climb ladders, lift/carry
objects up to 60 pounds. Must be available evenings/weekends as
necessary.
Ability to operate general office, computer, and
communications equipment. Demonstrated computer skills,
including-Windows 10/Microsoft Office 2016, Email and Texting. Working
knowledge of budget preparation and vendor management. Familiarity with
facilities management software highly desirable.
Required:
CT Driver’s license, Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience, minimum two years supervisory experience in
building operations or maintenance. Knowledge of Spanish a plus.
