Part-Time Technology Assistant - Wilton
Library seeks a Part-Time Technology Assistant to perform a variety of
web design and helpdesk duties to support the library’s online presence
and strategic technology goals. Working under the direction of the
Technology Manager, duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance
and development of the Library’s Website and Web-based interfaces,
troubleshooting and “helpdesk” functions for library supported
hardware/software, and audio/visual equipment setup for meetings,
programs, and rentals.
Qualifications: Familiarity with web
standards and working knowledge of website management tools including
content creation in Drupal or other CMS platform. Demonstrated
proficiency with HTML/CSS. Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot
unfamiliar software systems and maintain good customer service demeanor
in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated attention to detail, good
communication skills, and ability to interact with staff, volunteers,
and patrons in a collaborative environment. Knowledge of PHP/JavaScript
highly desirable. Experience with web hosting in Windows and/or Linux
environments a plus. Must be able to lift up to approximately 35 pounds
and/or push carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
Part-time
hourly position approximately 19 hours/week. Flexibility to cover
additional hours including night and weekend as necessary.
