Substitute Reference Librarian - Town of Windsor.
The Windsor Public Library has a part-time opportunity for a
knowledgeable, friendly, and tech savvy person to join our reference
team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing
reference and readers’ advisory service to the public at a busy
reference desk and assisting patrons with the use of library computers
and personal electronic devices including e-readers and tablets.
Candidates must be proficient and comfortable with computers,
technology, and social media; have excellent oral and written
communication skills; and a solid understanding of library theory.
Experience with Innovative Interfaces ILS systems is a plus. Enrollment
in or completion of a Master’s Degree in Library Science preferred.
Hours are Thursdays, 4pm-9pm, weekend rotation (Saturdays: 10am-1pm
year-round, Sundays: 1:30pm-5pm September through June), plus
substitution as needed. Salary is $18.00 to 24.00 per hour, depending on
