Part-time Clerks

Deep River Public Library Deep River Library has two openings for circulation clerks. $13.50 per hour with no benefits. Position one – coverage is needed for Tuesdays, 2:00pm-6:00pm, and Wednesdays, 12:30-8:00pm. Position two – coverage is needed for Thursdays from 2:00-6:00pm and Fridays 10:00-6:00. Both positions require one Saturday per month. Successful candidates must be tech-savvy, able to multi-task, have exceptional organizational and customer service skills, and be comfortable working as part of a team.  Duties include circulating, renewing, reserving materials, registering patrons and collecting fines and fees for overdue and damaged items, shelf maintenance, fielding phone calls, processing C-car deliveries.  Associate’s degree or LTA certificate and library experience preferred.  Please send resume, letter of interest and contact information for 3 references via email to Susan Rooney, Library Director: srooney@deepriverct.us.  Application deadline: March 11, 2016.
