Librarian II - Town of Bloomfield. $35.89 hourly. Prosser Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, creative, youth services librarian who enjoys working as part of a team. Work will involve information and reader's advisory service based on a strong knowledge of children's literature, collection development and the planning, publicizing and implementing of programs. Knowledge and experience in technology/technical services and its applications are required. The successful candidate will work in a flexible, organized and detail-oriented manner. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum requirements include Masters in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited college or university, and three years of related experience, including library computer systems. Proficiency with Sierra/Encore preferred. Selection Process: Candidates will be rated based on education, experience, and skills identified on the application, resume and cover letter as they relate to the requirements of this position. Additional examinations may include computer skills testing, written subject matter tests, and/or oral interviews or may be a combination of any of the above.
