 Public Library seeks a part time library assistant with a focus on 
Adult Services.  The ideal candidate will be able to assess the needs of
 the adults in our community and create stimulating library programs and
 services to meet those needs, collaborating with other agencies and 
organizations whenever possible. Responsibilities may include (but are 
not limited to): Connects with appropriate town agencies and 
organizations to better assess community needs and collaborate in 
providing services; Plans and implements a variety of programs for 
adults (discussions, lectures, activities, etc.); Prepares statistics, 
reports and grants related to adult services; Assists with adult 
materials selection, collection maintenance, displays and exhibits; 
Shares circulation desk duties on Wednesdays, assisting patrons as 
needed (reader’s advisory, circulation, reference, ILLs, computer use, 
etc.).
Qualifications: Qualified candidate will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and be tech-savvy,
 multitasking, flexible, self-motivated, personable, and able to think 
and work creatively. Previous public library experience or coursework 
towards LTA or MLS or other similar adult services experience preferred.
 $16.00/hour, avg. 12 hours/week.  Every Wednesday (10-6), one Saturday 
per month (10-2), remaining hours flexible to cover programs as
