Reference/Information Technology Librarian - Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center.
Under the supervision of the Head of Information Resources and Exhibit
Projects, the incumbent organizes and administers all reference services
for the Research Library and performs technical services, including
acquisitions and cataloging, for both the Research and Children’s
Libraries. Oversees expense budget for Research and Children’s
libraries. Manages Library Technical Assistants. Responsible for
material selection and collection development. Maintains library systems
and equipment. Required: MLS from an ALA-accredited program. Two years
professional experience required. Public service experience in an
academic or research library, supervisory experience and familiarity
with library automation. Knowledge of MARC formats, bibliographic
control, and familiarity with library acquisitions. Experience with
Voyager a plus. Must be highly flexible and service-oriented. Knowledge
of emerging library technologies; web building experience a plus;
excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; strong
commitment to user satisfaction. Subject background in Native American
Studies, Anthropology, Early American History, or other related field
