Youth Library Services Coordinator - Brainerd Memorial Library, Haddam, CT. Seeking an energetic person for this 20 - 29 hour per week position. Under the supervision of the Director coordinates all children’s and young adult library services, programs, and activities. Responsible for the organization of and physical access to materials in the children’s and young adult areas. Performs selection and acquisitions duties. Trains the Youth Library Services Assistant and volunteers to lend assistance in the department. Delegates duties and monitors the progress of activities and the quality and accuracy of work. Responsible for Youth Library Services reference and information services and for the circulation of materials from the Youth Service Desk. Responsible for the publication of monthly activities calendars, for writing the publicity associated with Youth Library Services, and for sending notices regarding programs, activities, and collections to news sources. Works with the Director on liaison efforts with the Haddam/Killingworth school district. Responsible for both coordinating and conducting Youth Library Services programming and outreach efforts. MLS Degree preferred. Experience working with children and/or YA preferred. Salary Range - $17.00 - $19.50 per hour.
