Library Director - Mark Twain Library. The Mark Twain Library seeks a creative and energetic Library Director to carry on the legacy of its illustrious founder, Samuel L. Clemens/Mark Twain. The Director must have proven experience in providing personable customer service and programs for a diverse patron base, a strong working knowledge of latest technology, and skills in managing a staff of full and part-time workers with student assistants. The Director will oversee a budget of about $650,000, and will work with a fifteen-member Board of Trustees. Requirements: M.L.S. /M.L.I.S. from an A.L.A. accredited institution, plus a minimum of five years library administrative experience demonstrating progressive career responsibilities; experience as a director is preferred.
