Teen Services / Reference Librarian - Booth & Dimock Memorial Library, Coventry

Teen Services / Reference Librarian - Computer savvy, energetic person needed to head Teen Services and Reference. Booth & Dimock Memorial Library, Coventry, a suburban community of 12,000+ has an opening for a full-time (40 hours) Teen Services / Reference Librarian. The successful candidate would be service-oriented, like teenagers and possess excellent technology skills. Responsibilities include collaborating with schools and other youth services organizations, developing teen collections, maintaining web pages and other online resources, providing teen programs and publicity, especially summer reading, reference and reader’s advisory services to teens, parents, and teachers, researching and writing grants, and promoting teen library services within the community. An MLS from ALA accredited institution is preferred, or at the discretion of the search committee, an MS/MA or BS/BA and experience working with teens.
