Library Director - Godfrey Memorial Library, Middletown

Library Director - The Godfrey Memorial Library in Middletown, Connecticut is searching for an Executive Director. The Godfrey is a moderate sized library of Genealogy and Family History which operates as a non-profit, small business. The library is open to the public, free of charge and aims to promote the study of family and local history. Duties of the Director include management of: a. Staff, b. Financial affairs including fund raising, c. Facility operation, d. Acquisition and dissemination of library materials, e. Public relations. Qualifications: Management experience, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. The Director reports directly to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and monthly to the Board as a whole. The position is a part-time salaried position with a flexible time schedule, likely one-half to three-quarter time. Salary dependant on experience. Benefits available.
