IT System Administrator (temporary)

IT System Administrator (temporary) - Progressive Technology Federal Systems, Inc. (PTFS) has been working with libraries for 14 years, offering library staffing, ILS support, and a digital content software called ArchivalWare. We have also recently developed a division supporting Open Source Library Systems. We currently develop and support Koha and Evergreen OS ILS programs. In light of this, we have an urgent need to employ an individual living in Connecticut, possessing library and IT background, interested in assisting with the development and support of an OS ILS. This position requires experience in the following areas: Linux Platform and administration (specifically Debian), PostgreSQL database knowledge (Postcript (SQL Syntax), Apache administration, Javascript, XHTML and HTML, Perl Template Toolkit, OpenSRF framework, Ejabberd. A portion of the work would be performed in Middlebury, CT; however, some could be performed off site. This is a for 4-6 month position with a pay rate of $15.50/hour or $620/week. This would be an ideal position for a library school student, or recent graduate or perhaps someone recently retired. This position is available immediately.
