Children's Librarian - Oxford Public Library

Children's Librarian - Oxford Public Library seeks an energetic professional, full-time (35 hr.), some evenings and Saturdays, to provide children's and teen library services. Work involves planning and conducting children's and Junior Friend's programs, selection and maintenance of the children's and teen collection, technical services processing of children's and teen materials, reference and reader's advisory services for children and teens, meeting with members of the community to promote programs, and shared duties to manage the library. Considerable knowledge, skill, and ability in library work, particularly in children's services, literature, computers, and development are required. ALA/MLS preferred, will consider equivalent education and experience. 2 years progressively responsible supervisory experience. Union hourly position - $27,576 to start, full medical and dental benefits, with step increases at one and two years.
