Reference Librarian - Connecticut College

Reference Librarian, Part-Time - Connecticut College, a highly selective private liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of part-time (10.5 hours per week) academic year Reference Librarian. The successful candidate will provide reference services and develop user education materials to facilitate the use of these resources. Delivery of reference services may include traditional reference desk service, digital service, and individual research consultations. This position includes weekend and evening hours; some flexibility is desirable for working as a substitute. A.L.A. accredited Masters Degree in library or information studies and 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred; advanced subject degree desirable. Knowledge of research methods and library resources, both traditional and electronic; computer skills in the use of an integrated library system, information databases and standard productivity software; and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are imperative.
