Teen / Reference Librarian - Booth & Dimock Memorial Library

Teen / Reference Librarian - Booth & Dimock Memorial Library, Coventry, a suburban community of 12,000+ has an opening, in a new position, for a 20-hour Teen / Reference Librarian starting July 1, 2007. The successful candidate should be energetic, service-oriented, like teenagers and possess excellent technology skills. Responsibilities include collaborating with schools and other youth services organizations, developing teen collections, maintaining web pages and other online resources, providing teen programs and publicity, especially summer reading, reference and reader's advisory services to teens, parents, and teachers, and promoting teen library services in the community. An MLS from ALA accredited institution is preferred, or at the discretion of the search committee, an MS/MA or BS/BA and experience working with teens. 20 hours per week, mainly evenings and 2 Saturdays per month. Salary range $15.00 - $16.50/hour. Paid sick time and vacation.
