Reference and Information Services Librarian - (union) New Milford Public Library. The New Milford Public Library is seeking an individual to lead the reference/information services department and be a member of the management team. Qualified candidates must have an ALA MLS, at least 2 years working in a public library and a proven record of providing the highest levels of customer service. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills; be a dynamic and creative leader; be comfortable with change and technology; have knowledge of current reference/informational materials, services and trends; be able to actively provide outreach and programming to a variety of groups in the community. Supervisory duties include participation in the budgetary and planning process; supervision of four part time staff; collection development of all informational material types and adult non-fiction. This is a full-time, supervisory (union) position and includes evening and weekend hours. Starting salary is $47,648 with excellent benefits.
