Role Purpose Providing IT support to the public and staff in a timely, professional manner. Maintaining the IT infrastructure in optimal condition. Developing Innovative STEM programming that responds to community need and interest. Teaching and training. Compiling, analyzing and presenting a broad range of Library metrics. Fostering collaboration and partnerships with local schools and community organizations. Participating in cross-departmental projects as required. Accountabilities: Under the Guidance of the Digital Services Manager, this position is accountable for: Ensuring that all Library technology is in optimal working condition. Resolving network, PC, software, and ILS issues in a timely manner. Developing, organizing and providing targeted STEM classes and workshops. Maintaining and providing content for the Library’s Digital Display. Monitoring and troubleshooting Makerlab equipment. Adding content to the Website. Collecting, analyzing and presenting a broad array of statistical data. Working 5 hours per week on the Adult Services Desk. Overseeing and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment. Instructing staff and public in the use of various digital technologies. Conducting one-on-one tutorials with public and staff. Undertaking other projects and assignments as requested. Deliverables: Integrated and streamlined technology infrastructure. Rapid responses to help desk requests. Organized and innovative technology programming. Classes and workshops that responds to community need. Effective technology support to public and staff. Streamlined and comprehensive statistical reports on major library metrics. Knowledge of mobile devices and tablets. Knowledge electronic kits such as RasPis, Arduinos and Mindstorms. Knowledge of Social Media platforms.
