Program and Events Specialist - Westport Library
seeks a Program and Events Specialist to plan and implement creative
and engaging opportunities for learning and personal growth. The
Specialist, working with the Manager of Community Relations and Patron
Experience, will use knowledge of active learning, new instructional
methods, and modern technology to develop programs that contribute to
providing a rich and interactive library experience. The successful
candidate will be part of a team managing over 600 events annually. The
selected candidate will have 3+ years experience implementing cutting
edge programs for adults that demonstrate a participatory and flexible
approach to learning and engagement. He/she will have outstanding
interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication and
presentation skills, and the ability to interact with individuals at all
levels. The person will have a proven track record managing projects
and programs as well as excellent planning, organizational, critical and
strategic thinking, and problem solving skills. Flexibility and the
ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced changing environment with
competing demands is required. Availability to work evenings and
weekends, as required. Starting salary is $54,750 dependent on
