Youth Services Summer Intern - The Brookfield Library

The Brookfield Library is looking for a Summer Intern to provide support for our Kids Summer Reading Program. The intern’s primary responsibility is to assist the Children’s Librarians with training, supervising and managing the library’s Teen Volunteers, and to assist with programming needs during the Summer Reading Program. May also include help with craft prep, program set-up/clean-up and other duties as assigned.

Duration/Dates: Monday, June 2 - Friday, August 15, 2025 (11 weeks). Note the library will be closed on June 19 and July 4.

Hours: 20 hours per week. Suggested schedule (may vary depending on programs): M/W/F 10am - 2pm, Tu/Thu 2pm - 6pm.

Qualification/Experience: Minimum age 18. High school diploma required. Early Childhood experience or college student pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or Library Science is preferred.

Pay: $16.35/hr.
