Library Technical Assistant I – Willimantic Public Library

The Town of Windham seeks qualified applicants for the position of Library Technical Assistant I. This is a full-time position (37 hrs/wk @ $17.00/hr). Under the direction of the Library Director, the Library Technical Assistant I performs a variety of library and clerical work, including the shelving of books and other materials, providing services to library patrons, checking library materials in and out, processing interlibrary loans, new patron applications, and other tasks related to the maintenance of the library’s collection. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, plus three (3) years of experience in library services or clerical experience involving public contact and information retrieval. Must have a pleasant, courteous, outgoing, and welcoming attitude. Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
