Part-time position
NATURE OF WORK: Performs basic as well as higher level clerical functions related to the day-to-day operations of the library in the areas of circulation, technical services, and shelf maintenance. Work involves responsibility for providing services to library patrons and performing general administrative services. Duties may include checking library materials in and out, processing interlibrary loans, and new patron applications. The position requires the use of independent judgment, initiative, maturity, observation, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on customer service and the ability to work effectively with patrons of all ages.
REQUIREMENTS OF WORK: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a field applicable to library service) and five (5) years experience working in a library or an equivalent position.
Salary Information: $23.00/hour with an average of 12.25 hours/week
