General Statement of Duties: Provides specialized STEAM-based programming and training related to Greenwich Library’s Innovation Lab. Assists with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new and existing equipment and applications.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Additional industry certifications with an emphasis on innovative and emerging technologies are preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of work experience focused on an area of STEM or STEAM, with educator experience in a community environment such as a library, museum, or school. Demonstrated ability to generate innovative programs that meet the needs and interests of patrons. Demonstrated proficiency in the use and maintenance of technology applications, Innovation Lab equipment, Library systems software, smart phones, tablets, etc. Proven communications skills to effectively instruct patrons in both one-on-one and group settings in the use of the technology tools and equipment. Proven ability to manage time effectively and multitask. Proven ability to deal tactfully and professionally with diverse constituencies and establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external groups. Demonstrated ability to follow best safety practices and stay compliant with safety regulations.
