Salary range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Location: Rathbun Free Memorial Library and East Haddam Free Public Library
Hours: Primarily 1st Shift, Occasional Evenings or Saturdays
Start date: Immediately
Job Description: The Town of East Haddam is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the full-time (30 hours) Children’s Librarian, a position responsible for the performance and administration of the Children’s department at one or both branches of the East Haddam Library System. Applicants will be required to plan, organize, direct and manage all aspects of the children’s department in conformity with the policies established by the Board of Trustees, the Town of East Haddam, the guidelines of the CT State Library and other recognized national standards.
Starting salary commensurate with experience in the range of $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, with a competitive benefits package.
MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited school is preferred but not required.
