Part Time Adult Programming Librarian - Gunn Memorial Library, Washington


Gunn Memorial Library is seeking a professional and extremely detail-oriented person to be a part of our Adult Programming and Outreach team. If you are comfortable executing administrative tasks with precision, capable of providing excellent customer service support for programs and dynamic enough to undertake other tasks as required to deliver community centered programs, we encourage you to apply!

Essential Job Functions: Initiates, plans, oversees, and conducts a variety of programs and activities to encourage the use of the library by adults including: films, concerts, reading clubs, speakers and performers, and other special events. Evaluate presenters to maintain a set of quality program options which fulfill the needs of diverse communities and target audiences. Advises appropriate library staff of upcoming programs for posting on the website, social media, and other communication channels. Builds relationships and networks with internal and external partners to fulfill the library’s mission. Collaborates with community groups to expand and promote library services, and participate in outreach events. Candidate will also provide circulation support as needed.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong technical skills which includes Canva and social media and Bibliomation experience. This non-exempt, part-time position of up to 10-15 hours/week requires flexibility for occasional evening program support. Hourly rate will depend on experience.
