Serving a population of 20,000, the Library Director will oversee a budget of $1 million and lead a dedicated team of approximately 14 FTEs (both full-time and part-time). Key Priorities: Serve as the visionary leader of the Rocky Hill Cora J. Belden Library, cultivating a culture of innovation and creativity. Oversee the library's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial sustainability. Establish a productive rapport and positive relationships with all stakeholders, including library users, the town government, the Library Advisory Board, The Friends of the Library, elected officials, Board of Education, Senior Services and other community members. Make a concerted and visible effort to be an engaging presence in all the communities the library serves. Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility within the library and its programs. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in library services.
