The Connecticut State Library (CSL), has one (1) available opportunity for a Librarian 2 - State Library within the Law & Legislative Department of Reference Services in Hartford. The position's primary location will be the State Library and Supreme Court Building, 231 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106.
POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The State Library operates Connecticut's principal law library, which preserves and makes accessible the extensive collections of governmental and historical materials that reflect Connecticut’s long history as a colony and a state. The Law & Legislative department staff work closely with the Connecticut General Assembly, the Secretary of State, and Judicial branch law libraries, as well as executive branch agencies, the legal community, and the general public seeking to answer complex legal research and legal history questions. As a Librarian 2, the incumbent will join a team of librarians providing outstanding research assistance to the State Library's patrons, in person and virtually.
