Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in adult programming, special events and outreach. Writes press releases, creates email blasts, and generates marketing materials. Collaborates with all departments and community partners. Maintains strong working relationships with community members and local organizations to ensure programs reflect community interests. Covers busy information desk and outreach when needed. Creates flyers and distributes them to community partners and local businesses. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma is required with some college work preferred. Marketing experience and bilingual candidate preferred. Familiarity with community resources. Strong computer and technology skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to relate to the public in a positive manner. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
This is a 35 hour a week, full-time position at $18-$20/hour (depending on experience) with a variable schedule that includes daytime, evenings and Saturdays. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Information Services. There is a benefit package with this position, including health insurance, vacation days, sick days and a 403(B) retirement plan. Position open until filled. No phone calls please.
