Library Director – Saxton B. Little Free Library, Columbia

The Saxton B. Little Free Library Board of Directors in the Town of Columbia is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, community-oriented, and experienced leader to serve as its next Library Director. Under the direction of the Saxton B. Little Free Library Board of Directors, the Library Director develops, administers, and coordinates the work of the Library and staff, performs managerial duties related to personnel, budget, collection development, building maintenance and Library operations. The Library Director administers outreach programs and initiates and maintains a public relations program. The Library Director recommends new library operations policies and policy revisions to the Library Board; implements and administers said policies.

Qualifications include: Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from an ALA accredited program. Minimum of five years of professional library experience, including management and supervision of staff, and demonstrated experience in providing leadership. Salary range: $75,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
