As the Public Services Administrator, you will oversee four neighborhood branches and Young Minds and Family Learning systemwide. You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, coaching & managing staff, and ensuring that our library services are accessible and inclusive to all. This is a senior administrator position with responsibility to lead and manage several major components of the library system. Work is performed with considerable latitude for the exercise of administrative judgment under the general guidance of the City Librarian. The incumbent collaborates with the City Librarian and the other public services administrators to provide consistent and effective oversight, leadership, and administration of the Library.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public library services, library organization and management, and human resource management skills. They will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to the values of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
