The Oliver Wolcott Library is seeking a part-time library assistant with excellent customer service skills to work the public service desk, moderate our Monday Scholars, provide book request services for book clubs and Inter-library loan, and assist with other library duties. We are seeking someone who is able to work independently and as part of a professional team. The Oliver Wolcott Library has high standards of service and a dedication to excellence, and seeks that in all of our staff.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week: Mondays 9 to 5, Tuesdays 9 to 5, and Thursdays 9 to 5
Rate: $15 an hour. No benefits.
Qualifications include: High School diploma required. Prior work in a library is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills to work the public service desk. Excellent computer skills and general technological skills. Reliable transportation. Ability to represent the library and moderate discussion for our Monday Scholars series. Ability to work with frequent interruptions. Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team. Demonstrated ability for accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent understanding of numerical and alphabetical ordering. The ability to fill-in for other shifts when needed will be an important consideration.
