The Digital Access and Data Management Librarian is a pivotal and vital
role in our library. We are dedicated to innovation and expanding
services, and recognize the growing importance of data management,
digital communications, digital access and inclusion, digital services,
and technology literacy.
The Digital Access and Data Management
Librarian plans, recommends, analyzes and coordinates all aspects of
technology and technology services within and for the Library including
but not limited to its website, technology infrastructure, assisting
with editing video content for digital communications, overseeing
digital and streaming services, and managing the outreach lending box,
The Digital Access and Data Management Librarian inputs and manages all
of the fundraising and statistical data, manages and oversees the
auction software settings and backend, and provides various reports and
analytical information. The Digital Access and Data Management
Librarian also provides basic technology instruction to the public and
staff to help ensure digital literacy and inclusion.

Oliver Wolcott Library is located in historic and beautiful Litchfield,

Qualifications: MLS degree
preferred. Current MLS students are also encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s
degree required. Ability to communicate with public and staff on a
non-technical level. Strong knowledge of Microsoft software, Windows,
and the Internet. Strong knowledge and experience working with various
technology platforms including smart phones, tablets, social media, and
streaming services. Installation, maintenance and repair experience
with both Windows and Apple computing platforms. Interest in learning
new skills. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40
pounds. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
with staff and the public. Ability to work independently and with
minimal supervision. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, manage
time and achieve goals. Strong support for and understanding of the
important role public libraries play in communities and society.
Hours: Full-time position of 35 hours a week. Some evenings and weekends required.
Salary: $58,000 to $60,000 depending on experience. Excellent benefit package.
