The
Principal Specialist, Research Analyst, will be working with the
Collins Information Center (CIC) team to process research requests and
complete industry and competitor analysis. The position will join a
highly motivated, experienced team of Senior Analysts and Competitive
Intelligence Professionals that provides information to employees
worldwide. This position will help an individual to gain knowledge of a
working research and analysis team with attention on data sources
(online resources, print resources, and reference materials specific to
an aerospace-related library), information pathfinders, and technical /
business knowledge management. This position offers a unique, broad view
of the aerospace systems businesses.
This position is hybrid,
and would require a balance of working remotely and onsite presence in
Windsor Locks, CT. A schedule is open for discussion.
Principal Responsibilities:
Become an expert in current resources offered to employees via CIC
website. Researching and analyzing information on competitors and market
trends / data to determine significance, assess implications, and
provide analysis. Providing professional corporate/market intelligence
research. Prioritizing and coordinating multiple research projects at
once. Monitoring market and competitive intelligence activities to
deliver critical strategic insights that enable decision making across
product, marketing, sales, distribution, and support. Curating business
and technical alerts. Managing database subscription services and
resources including contract negotiation and vendor relationships.
Documenting all requests and vendors in our Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) solution. Continuously improving function and
utilization of the CRM solution. Evaluating and making recommendations
on new and existing external research tools. Supporting and
collaborating with colleagues across the Raytheon Technologies
enterprise. Assisting in the internal marketing of the CIC products and
services through training sessions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience; OR Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience; OR In
absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. Must be
authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the
future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in information research and database research and
knowledge regarding use of copyrighted works in a corporate setting.
Ability to triangulate data, competitive trends and secondary insights.
Experience in business/market intelligence, competitive intelligence,
and/or strategic planning. Experience in or familiarity with LexisNexis,
ProQuest Dialog, DACIS, Salesforce and best practices in digital
libraries. Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS)
from ALA Accredited institution.
The salary range for this role
is $70,000.00 to $152,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers
several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to,
the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience,
education/training, and key skills.
