HOURLY RANGE: $33.71 - $41.38/Hour
The Ferguson Library in Stamford is looking for an energetic and
enthusiastic individual to serve as Website Content Manager for the
library’s website. The Website Content Manager reports to the Director
of Development & Communication and is responsible for maintaining
and updating the library's website on an ongoing basis with content
developed by the Communication and Public Services staffs.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary
responsibilities include the following: Acts as administrator for the
library's website, including maintaining and updating web content
(except calendar and blog) for Ferguson Library public and staff sites.
Maintains website standards and plans for technology and content needs
related to the website to support marketing and library resources.
Audits and maintains inventory of all website content. Compiles and
analyzes metrics for public website, including web traffic and web
traffic sources, website bounce rate, etc. Maintains an in-depth
knowledge of related current technology and trends, both internally and
within the library and IT fields, and its applicability to the
organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge
of ADA website compliance standards and best practices for maintaining
accessible content. Knowledge of data management, user management, and
configuration in a web content management system. Skill in auditing and
maintaining inventory of all website content assets and refresh
schedules. Ability to perform Drupal site-building activities, including
developing new pages, managing taxonomies, creating and maintaining
views and blocks and managing users. Ability to develop and ensure
adherence to website best practices, standards and guidelines. Skill in
user experience and creative design best practice principles.
Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills; strong
grammatical skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: A
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a preferred
concentration in web design, computer science, communications, graphic
design or other related field. Three or more years of experience in
website management or design. Experience in programming with HTML and
website aesthetics. Experience with content management systems and
responsive/adaptive web design. Proficiency with Google Analytics to
maintain accurate website and web-resource statistics.
