Quinnipiac University invites
applicants to apply for the position of Access Services Assistant in the
Arnold Bernhard Library. The primary duties include training and
supervising student workers, billing and processing reserves, assisting
patrons at the circulation desk, implementing circulation policies, and
completing the processing of materials not done by the day staff. The
position hours are 4pm–midnight, Sunday through Thursday during the
academic calendar (shift will vary during intersession and summer).
Please note this is a Grade 6 position in the Clerical & Technical
Union. The hourly rate is $25.46 and the work week is 35 hours per
week. This position requires the successful completion of a Microsoft
Office skills test and background check.
Qualifications: Ability
to understand and use the library services provided by our integrated
library systems. Strong computer application and digital technology
skills. Ability to interact professionally and work effectively within
the department, the campus and the national community. 1-2 years of
customer service experience. Must possess excellent verbal and written
communication skills as well as strong organizational skills. Must
possess ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work with
diverse populations and/or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
