Wilton Library Association, Inc.,
a non-profit organization, seeks an experienced part-time adult
reference librarian who will become part of a team to respond to the
needs of the community. Responsibilities include providing exemplary
customer service to patrons which may entail instruction on digital
offerings and readers’ advisory services.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of literature and library services. Proficiency in the use of
current and emerging technology. Knowledge ofPolaris ILS system a plus.
Exceptional digital literacy, computer software and database research
skills. Demonstrates attention to detail, good communication skills, and
ability to interact with staff, volunteers, and patrons in a
collaborative environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
with short notice.
Education and Training Required: Holds a
Master of Library Science degree from an accredited university or
college. Must enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities.
Part-time position averaging 12 hours per week. Schedule will include
regular hours as well as substitute hours. Salary $33.00/hour. Wilton
