POSITION SUMMARY: The
Instructional Coach is a motivational and inspiring educator with a wide
range of experience in developing learner centered and culturally
relevant practices. The Instructional Coach is responsible for bringing
evidence-based
practices into classrooms by working with and supporting
teachers and administration with the goal of increasing student
engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher
capacity. Having expertise in Digital Learning, and models
such as SAMR, the Instructional Coach works to supports teacher
practice in general education. The role supports teachers and leaders in
building digital learning skills, aligning curriculum, using data to
inform instruction, and providing ongoing
professional development to schools.
Minimum Required
Qualifications: Master’s degree. Current Connecticut Teacher
Certification in a relevant area. Five (5) years of successful teaching
experience including working
in a Digital Literacy focus. Experience in designing and
delivering quality professional development for teachers and leaders.
Previous coaching or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Google Certified
Trainer, ISTE Certified Educator, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.
