The
Sherman Library is seeking a self-motivated, friendly, community minded
person to join our team as Library Page. The Sherman Library is an
Association library, located in the historic center of Sherman, CT, a
beautiful New England town with all the attributes that people cherish
in small town living. The Library which traces its origin to 1901, is
housed in a modern 9000 square foot space with the original building and
barn listed on the National (State) Historic Register. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate customer service skills, a wide variety of
technology experience, excellent spoken and written communication
skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and work both
independently and with a team, and enjoy working with the public. The
Library Page will work closely with the public.
Qualifications:
Must be at least a high school student. A general knowledge of
libraries and the arrangement of materials, the Dewey Decimal System,
and proficiency with technology preferred.
