Electronic Resource Coordinator - University of Hartford, CT

The University of Hartford seeks an Electronic Resource Coordinator for the Resource & Metadata Services department of the Harrison Libraries. This is a full-time, 12 month, permanent position. Although an associates degree is required, no prior experience working in libraries is needed to apply for this position.      Primary duties of this position include: Maintaining and updating print and online serial subscriptions, working with vendors to identify and correct problems. Tracking and recording statistical information relating to online database usage, and assisting team members with using this information in making purchasing and resource retention decisions. Organizing and maintaining the physical periodicals collection. Assisting students submitting their electronic dissertations and theses. Processing mail and, as needed, assisting with hiring and supervising student worker, as well as assisting other members of the team with purchasing, cataloging, and interlibrary loan needs.
