The
Harwinton Public Library is seeking a dynamic candidate to be our first
full-time Youth Services Librarian. This newly created position will
oversee the collections, programs, outreach and activities for children
and young adults. We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who will
build strong relationships with patrons, local schools and
organizations, and the broader community. Our ideal candidate will be
tech savvy with a strong knowledge of children’s literature, an
excellent rapport with children, and the ability to engage audiences of
various age levels. Masters of Library or Information Science and
experience in a library, school or other instructional setting strongly
preferred. This is a full-time union position with benefits. Starting
salary is $49,193. The schedule includes 2 evenings and alternating
