Teen Librarian – Burlington Public Library

Teen Librarian – Burlington Public Library. The Town of Burlington is now accepting applications for a part-time Teen Librarian. The Teen Librarian is responsible for the development and maintenance of the print and non-print collections for the middle school and high school students, planning and implementing a range of programs and activities for students in grades 5 to 12, providing reference and Reader’s advisory to patrons, promoting library programs on various social media platforms and completing shifts at the Circulation Desk. The ideal candidate must be creative and innovative, have an interest in teen librarianship and a knowledge of Young Adult literature.
     Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and one to three years of experience working with young adults. Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) preferred. Experience in a library setting, and with Sierra ILS, preferred. Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft Office and various social media platforms.
