Library Director - Westbrook Public Library, Town of Westbrook. The
Library Board of Trustees seeks an experienced, community-oriented
leader for the position of Library Director. Applicants must have an MLS
or MLIS degree and at least five years of full-time library experience.
The Westbrook Public Library is a busy community center with a large
variety of collections and programs. The library was renovated and
expanded in September 2008. It is well-staffed with an Assistant
Librarian, a Children’s Librarian and support staff.
The Library
Board of Trustees seeks someone with: Excellent communication and
organizational skills. Dynamic leadership and an ability to get along
with people. Proficiency in administration and personnel management.
Strong knowledge of current and emerging library technologies. The
capacity to create and manage the Library’s budget. The ability to
coordinate the maintenance of the facility.
This is a full-time
position starting July 1, 2020. The position offers a competitive
