Recording Secretary - Mystic & Noank Library Board of Trustees. Record, transcribe and file all documents pertaining to
the meetings of the Library Board of Trustees. This includes
notifications to Board Members, calling for agenda items, collection of
reports, preparation and electronic distribution of packets prior to
meeting, as well as final approved minutes and reports to the Library.
The Board typically meets 10 times per year on the fourth Tuesday of
each month at 6:00pm and meetings are usually 1-1/2 hours or less. There
may be occasional special meetings called with advance notice. In
addition, this position will take minutes at Finance Committee meetings
every other month typically on the second or third Monday at 5:30. These
are usually about 1-1/2 hours or less. The Recording Secretary will
also assist the Board Treasurer with preparation and distribution of
materials for both Board and Finance Committee meetings. The Recording
Secretary may also assist with other clerical Board duties and
scheduling. This is a part-time position, projected to be 10-12 hours
per month. Starting salary is $13.00 per hour and the position is as
Library staff member, however, much of the work may be performed in a
